Goal of the game :
Time’s Up! is a team game played in 3 different rounds. During each round, guess as many cards as possible!
PREPARATION :
Form teams of at least two players.
Decide if you will be playing with the yellow or blue side of the cards.
Deal 40 cards among the players. Each player secretly looks at their cards. If a proposal does not please him (too complex, unknown ...), he exchanges this card with a new one.
When everyone has read their cards, make a deck of cards from all of the players. Mix them. Designate a team to start.
FIRST ROUND: TALK FREELY
A player has an hourglass time to make his team guess the most cards.
He draws the first card and can say whatever he wants. But he cannot: pass the card if it does not suit him. say words from the same family as the proposal.
pronounce words "that sound the same".
translate the map into another language.
spell the letters of the alphabet.
His team can then make as many proposals as they want.
As soon as the proposal is discovered, the player places the card face up on the table and has the next card guessed.
When the time is up, the player passes the deck of cards to the next team which continues with the current card.
When all the cards have been found, note the number of cards found by each team and move on to the second round with the next team.
SECOND ROUND: A WORD
Take the 40 cards from the previous round and shuffle them.
The round is identical to the previous one but with the following changes:
the guessing player can only say one word per card.
his team can only make one proposal per card.
we can pass a card.
When the hourglass has run out, the current card and all the cards not found, passed, as well as the faults are collected and added to the deck which is shuffled for the next team.
When all the cards have been found, note the number of cards found by each team and move on to the third round with the next team.
THIRD HAND: THE MIME Take the 40 cards from the previous round and shuffle them.
The round is identical to the previous one but with the following changes:
the guessing player must mimic the cards.
he can hum and make sound effects.
he is no longer allowed to speak.
When all the cards have been found, note the number of cards found by each team.
The game is over!
The team that has guessed the most cards during the three rounds wins the game!
